Privacy policy

Who we are
Stablebook is published by Rob Giesbers. You can reach us at hello@stablebook.app.
What Stablebook stores, and where
Everything you enter, such as horse profiles, care records, ride data, photos and notes, is stored on your iPhone and, if you are signed in to iCloud, copied to your personal CloudKit container. That container belongs to your Apple account. We cannot reach it. Apple's privacy policy governs how Apple stores and protects that data.
We have no server. We have no user database. We do not receive your horse data, care records, GPS routes, costs or notes.
What we do receive
Subscriptions. When you take out a subscription, Apple handles the payment and we only receive confirmation that a valid subscription exists on your account. We do not see payment details, your Apple ID, your name or your billing address.
Anonymous usage statistics. Stablebook records anonymised events to understand how the app is used, for example whether the subscription screen was shown or a purchase completed. These events contain no names, no horse data, no medical information and no GPS. They are totals, not individual profiles. No analytics provider has been chosen yet; as soon as one is, this policy will be updated with that provider's name and privacy terms.
Crash reports. If the app crashes, Apple may forward a technical crash report. Such a report contains technical information and the device type, not your records or personal data.
What we do not collect
From the app we receive no name or contact details, no payment information, no horse names or records, no GPS routes, no attached photos and no text you type into notes or care fields.
The one exception sits outside the app: if you sign up on this website to be told about the launch, you leave your email address yourself. How we handle that is set out below.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. The fonts are loaded from our own domain, so no visitor data goes to outside parties. If you email us, we use your address only to answer your question.
Signing up to hear about the launch
On the home page you can leave your email address to be told once, when Stablebook reaches the App Store. We ask for your email address and nothing else.
The signup is not stored on the web server. It is forwarded straight to our own mailbox and stays there until we have sent you the message we promised. After that we delete the address. We do not pass it to anyone else and do not use it for other messages.
To limit abuse of the form we briefly count how many signups arrive from an internet connection. No readable IP address is kept, and that count disappears by itself within an hour.
If you would like your address removed sooner, email hello@stablebook.app.
Push notifications
If you turn on reminders, Stablebook registers a device token with the Apple Push Notification Service. That token is used to deliver reminders to your device. It is not shared with third parties and not used to identify you.
Your rights
Export. You can export your whole record as a PDF at any time, including after a subscription has ended.
Deletion. Deleting the app removes the local data. If iCloud syncing is on, you can delete the CloudKit data through Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage, Stablebook.
No account. Because no Stablebook account exists, there is nothing on our side to delete.
Children
Stablebook is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
You will see material changes in the updated date at the top. We do not make retroactive changes that reduce your privacy rights.
